ClipArt
Doug Boilesen, 2004
The following are a few examples of
early clip art for computers related to the phonograph. As such they
are stylistic interpretations of phonographs intended to be added
to messages or documents. Related to earlier 'cuts' for newspapers
ads and rubber stamp images for personal use they are colorful and
portray much of the simplicity of the earlier non-photographed images
and illustrations.
See Phonographia's Beka
Records Illustrations for examples of a creative series of advertising
"cuts" circa 1910 intended for magazine and newspaper ads.
