Loretta Young

Memories of the Phonograph

Loretta Young*, an honorary Friend of the Phonograph.

A 1936 publicity photograph of Loretta Young taken between the scenes of "Private Number" had typed text pasted onto the back of the photo titled "MUSIC HATH CHARMS" which explains why Young has now been made an honorary Friend of the Phonograph:

Just as important as her makeup kit is Loretta Young's portable phonograph which she always plays between scenes of "Private Number" which she is now filming at 20th Century-Fox. Her favorite records are Stephen Foster's melodies which help get her in the mood.
